Britain's biggest bank, Lloyds, received nearly 6,000 complaints a day from July to December last year. And more than eight in ten were about payment protection insurance. Overall, across all its Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Lloyds TSB brands, complaints fell by 11 per cent on the previous six months. Banks are now forced by the City watchdog to publish their complaints data every six months. Lloyds is the first to go public with its data. The Financial Services Authority will reveal a complete set of figures on March 27. Lloyds has been bombarded by complaints over mis-sold PPI the past few years.
