Two private equity companies including TDR Capital, the owner of debt buyer Lowell Group, are believed to be among the final bidders vying to acquire Arrow Global. Royal Bank of Scotland’s Special Opportunities Fund, a private equity unit managed by RBS which jointly owns Arrow, began a sales process of the debt purchaser earlier this year. Goldman Sachs was later appointed to help the search for a new owner. It is understood that Lindsey McMurray, head of equity finance at the Special Opportunities Fund, is playing a major role in the sale process The Fund sits within the RBS Equity Finance division of RBS. RBS Equity Finance invested in Arrow in 2009.
After an information memorandum for Arrow was available in the summer, the bidding process is now moving forward.

It is understood that the other frontrunner alongside Lowell owner TDR is London-based JRJ Group, a private equity firm with a portfolio of companies from across the financial services spectrum. JRJ has a particular focus on mid-sized European-headquartered businesses in financial services.
