Teething problems for M&S Bank as website crashes on first day of its new current account
M&S Bank got off to a stuttering start today after its website crashed, leaving customers unable to apply for its brand new current account online. A spokesman from the bank confirmed that the website was suffering problems and that it was working hard to resolve them. They did not specify the reason but posted up an apology saying the site was under going 'essential maintenance'. Current accounts from the bank, which is run by HSBC under the Marks & Spencer brand, were launched today.
