Roxburghe battles to retain credit licence
Roxburghe is “vigorously defending” an attempt by the regulator to remove its consumer credit licence, according to its annual results statement. The debt collection agency along with its sister company HFO Services, and parent firm HFO Capital, were issued with minded to revoke notices by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) in May last year. Roxburghe said the notice was issued due to its association with its parent firm, and the “alleged activities of other businesses within their associated group”. In the results statement, the firm said: “The company is vigorously defending this notice. The directors are confident that its processes and procedures, quality and control meet – and in many cases exceed – the requirements required to maintain its licence. “However, as a result of the notice, trading for the year, and into the current year, has been challenging and will continue to be so until such time as the minded to revoke issue has been successfully resolved.”...Read more here: Roxburghe battles to retain credit licenceTags: None
