FSA contacts 77,000 people to warn them they are the target of financial fraudsters
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) is in the process of contacting 76,732 people to warn them they are potential targets for conmen looking to cheat them of their cash, the regulator revealed today. Letters and e-mails will be arriving from today and the watchdog says that by warning those potential victims discovered in what amounts to 'a fraudster's phonebook' it could save them tens of thousands of pounds in lost money.
