The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) is considering getting rid of the case fee for firms with 25 complaints or less in a move that would cut costs for independent financial advisers (IFA), it has been revealed today (January 6th). As part of the proposed reforms, the FOS could freeze the case fee at £500, while maintaining the industry levy.
