Regulator Ofgem is losing patience over the way French giant EDF Energy is handling a record number of complaints caused by a new system at its three call centres. The watchdog is becoming increasingly angry at what is rapidly becoming an industry scandal, with one in eight of EDF’s 5.5 million customers ringing the energy provider to express their rage at poor service.
