Prime Minister vows he 'will block RBS bonuses'
David Cameron yesterday vowed to stop state-owned RBS from lavishing bonuses worth £500million on its staff. In the Commons, Labour MP Lindsay Roy asked the Prime Minister if he thought it was ‘right and proper or in any way defensible’ that the bailed-out bank would be handing out bonuses worth a total of half a billion pounds this year.
