Energy firm Scottish and Southern Energy is to scrap its policy of hefty discounts for online tariffs in an attempt to simplify energy pricing.
The supplier announced the move in a letter to energy secretary, Chris Huhne, in a response to his recent criticism of the 'big six' gas and electricity suppliers. Huhne attacked the industry last month accusing energy firms of using ‘predatory pricing’ techniques to reel in new customers with discounts and offers, which are effectively paid for by subsidising the cost to existing customers....Read more HERE
