Enforcement firm Philips Collection Services has been purchased by FTSE 100 firm Serco. The global servicing firm acquired Philips on Monday 24 October following negotiations with the firm’s management team, led by chief executive Nick Bradley, which begun in May this year. Bradley and the rest of the management team will remain in place and Neil Marley, head of solutions design and delivery at Serco, will join the firm’s directors as director of fines and enforcement. Marley told Credit Today that Serco plans to make Philips a large scale provider of end-to-end debt recovery solutions with the public sector area a primary target.
