The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has warned it can still impose sanctions on firms that have not taken sufficient steps to prevent corruption, it has been reported. The revelation comes in light of the Bribery Act 2010, which came into effect in July 2011, the Financial Times revealed. Although the FSA is not responsible for enforcing the Act, it reminded firms in its monthly newsletter it can still reprimand companies that do not properly assess corruption risk.
