HMRC signs up 10 DCAs following mega-tender

HM Revenue and Customs has selected 10 debt collection agencies (DCAs) to work placements valued at between £500m and £1.5bn following a tender process.

Credit Today understands that the agencies selected are: Apex Credit Management, Direct Legal Collections, Fairfax Solicitors, iQor, Rossendales, CCS Collect, CCSG, Advantis, Fredrickson International, and Close Credit Management.

The agencies, which are now in line to share between £30m and £70m in fees from the two-year deal, were notified of their selection on 20 May following what one DCA chief executive called "the largest tender the industry has seen in 20 years".

Both HMRC and the 10 chosen DCAs are in a cooling-off period until 31 May after which time the Revenue said it would release the full list of successful companies into the public...Read more HERE
