    Well, here we go - they've taken the cheap option and that would leave me out of pocket by quite a bit.

    Looks like I may have to go legal on them...

      mods - why does trumpets post say 19:23 when its 18:45 on my phone?
      When Gold isn't enough, there is SA Gold! New to the forum and find the UE route a bit scary? Take a look at my diary here and judge for yourself. I am now saving the money each month that was making little difference to the balance and not a bit of difference to my credit file as a result of finding AAD.

        A couple of months ago I was offered part time employment as an alternative to redundancy. That meant a considerable drop in wages. Now there is no alternative offer and (surprise, surprise) I can be made redundant with a payment in lieu of notice at a greatly reduced rate. I feel like I'm being stiffed to the tune of 50% of 3 months salary.

            Well, I have booked some time with a local employment lawyer on Monday. On the phone they sounded quite certain that there were genuine grounds for concern and possibly an appeal against the redundancy. I really don't want to stay working at the place now but I'll certainly put up a fight to get what I believe is rightfully mine after giving 7 years of more than full time service to the company!
