          Re: ESA

The advisor has suggested to our son that he tries to get a few hours extra permanent work at the shop where he currently does just the permitted amount (to claim ESA). This is so he can claim WTC and wouldn't need to keep travelling in for meetings with her each week.

His mother and I already claim WTC so my question is can he claim as a stand alone person and will it affect ours ?

          Thx

I'm not sure about this looking forward. Could you phone WTC and ask?

                  Hi,

Yes his Mum did but was just referred to the online tax credits calculator, this was after hanging on for ages so lost the will to ask any more. Am going to try again next week.

                    Re: ESA

I don't think the online tax credits would answer question. And it could all change next month in the welfare cuts
