I will be presenting the petition on Tuesday 24th March. Meeting point is outside the gates of Downing St at 1pm, from where we'll proceed to the DWP for the hand in (a short walk away). I'll be submitting a petition update, including a link to 38 Degrees event page, today.

Thanks Pixie, yes so do I. Hopefully, all parties will see the state pension issue as a vote winner and act accordingly. Both France and Germany has reversed their respective State Pension Laws so there's no excuse for the UK not to follow.

just as a bit more information I moved jobs this year and I have just under 6 years to work under the new rules (would have been counting days under the old rules)

the company pension scheme gave me a prediction if I started to pay in for the total time I have left to work (which is nearly what was added on and less than the notice I received) If I paid in and the company paid in, my pension would have been around £340 which is not bad you would think...................except that was for a year!!!!

proof positive that we were not given enough time to remedy the situation and shanghaied into working an extra 6 years with no possibility of appeal bloody outrageous

I know, I've refer to the article at every opportunity. Something the right wing media, Age UK etc. fail to do.
