  • Potential CIFAS marker

    Hi everyone,

I’m dealing with a stressful situation and am in need of some advice. I’m not sure how much detail to go into but essentially my bank (Lloyds) say a fraudulent payment was made to my bank account. They’ve blocked my account and informed me that they are going to close all my accounts with them in 2 months time because they’ve reviewed the information I gave them when I spoke to them. They aren’t my main bank but I’m extremely worried about them giving me a CIFAS marker.

Could anyone please advise if there is a timeframe for when CIFAS markers are given. Any other advice would be most appreciated in this situation.
Also, would reporting the situation to Action Fraud help in preventing the account being closed?

    Many thanks

Niddy would be the best to ask about this.
