Hi IF,
All is well, thanks for asking ! Have been having the occasional nosey on here but nothing to report from me so not added anything ! Not heard from any nasties for a long time and now have a very good credit record again….I intend to keep it that way.
Just been made unemployed again so will be interesting to see if the DWP get up to their old tricks again, details of which were all in another old thread.
Looking to go self employed so will see how it goes…..any other hassles and I will be quick to report on here !

I would just send them a one-liner telling them it's SB. If they don't agree then send Final response: Statute Barred template.

Greetings all !
Had a letter pop through the door today from a bunch of scrotes that I had not heard of or from before....Empingham....with their jolly jingle of "resolution and negotiation" !! Apparently,Aktiv Kapital have been digging around in the lemons box and passed it onto them.Very nice letter it is as well,all neat and tidy and printed on nice shiney paper,not your usual bog standard,erm,bog roll material !!
They refer to an old debt that went sb a year and a half ago and like all the others,does not show up on my credit reports.
Do I just ignore or is it worth sending an sb template....

Greetings all !
Having signed up for the electoral roll in July,which has not appeared on my credit agency reports yet,the first letter from a scumbag arrived last week which I binned.The second one from them arrived today....they are keen !
It is from Red,aka Lowells,with lots of pretty red and pink boxes and lines on it !
It is basically overdue account,taking steps to retrieve your payment etc and concerns a crap one account from 2002.
This went sb well over a year ago so nothing they can do other than send letters but....should I just ignore or send a one liner back advising them to file it in the drawer marked lemons?
If they are taking steps to retrieve payment,they have a long walk ahead of them !!

You could send this....but remove the first line -----> Final Response - Statute Barred

Evening all !
Have now obtained all three of my credit reports through "check my file" online and happy to report that all three are squeaky clean...have to say,I am pleasantly surprised !! The only negative to be seen is that I am not on the electoral roll.
A few years ago,before I discovered AAD,my credit report was probably so scarey that I would never have dared ask to see it....I just hope that this demonstrates that patience and an understanding of how things work and a following of advice given so generously on AAD by so many knowledgeable people can sometimes work wonders....and lead to a good nights sleep,no more fear of the postman and getting a life back!! A big thank you to Niddy and co.....

Hi Niddy and all,it has been a year since I updated my diary so thought I would do it now rather than my usual forum browsing !
Have not heard boo from anyone despite having cautiously registering my current address with the bank six months ago....but not the electoral roll yet ! It is now a year since all of my debts went SB and looking through old paperwork from a previous address,the last letter was from June 2011 for a credit card debt from a high street bank.
I am also in the process of setting up a ltd company with a friend and all seems well there,believe I was probably credit checked when we set up the business account.
However,I would like to see for myself just what info is on my credit reports,mainly to see if I have any ccj's that may reappear in the future.Have been looking at an online company called "checkmyfile" which gives full report on the three agencies and apparently will not leave any footprint if I search.....has anybody used this company and is it safe to do so....don't want any flags going up even now !!!

Hi Niddy and all...just back from the wilds of Java and catching up on events.
Sound advice as always,will not be getting complacent after getting this far ! Will continue to lay low for a while yet then later down the line will update my current address with my bank and wait for the letters to start arriving !!

Greetings all ! A sort of update.....as nothing much to update!
Never got my cca from Crapquest,heard nothing more from Advantis credit.
It all went wrong when I returned from Bali and that was mid May 2006.I contacted all creditors straight away and all were unsympathetic.That is the last contact i have had with any of them.
I think that puts me pretty much into SB territory now so off to Bali tomorrow to relax and try and get over my regrets at not being able to convince them six years ago to help me .
Interestingly,my email inbox over the past few weeks has been full of personal emails offering debt reductions,bank charge refunds,ppi refunds blah....wonder if that is because SB looms? Also just started getting txt messages from a lovely company called "Roxburghe"....aka HFO diservices .
So,unless I have any ccj's that I don't know about( will maybe check sometime down the line),think happy days are here !!

Nice one but don't get complacent, give it an extra month at the end of when you think it's SB - just to be extra sure but otherwise well done
