Really? That's great news So if a DCA banks my postal order that's a tacit acceptance for the responsibiity for my s.78 request on behalf of the creditor? That probably explains why AIC have a habit of sending back the PO once they've checked with the client that no CCA exists

Sorry Niddy you've probably already explained this a million times, but does that DCA remain responsible for the s.78 request even after the account has been sent back to the creditor and reallocated to a whole load of new DCAs?

I'd like to give some fantastic excuse for being so far behind, but I have no excuse other than things I deemed more important getting in the way

    I've caught up now though

Its a recon and even that's a laugh-a-second attempt. No PT's, no boxes, let alone the mandatory 4 corners and best of all - wrong personal details.

    Totally

But then we knew that anyway cos back then, before they became HSBC they used to issue visa/mastercard accounts and issued two cards under one shared limit. This mentions nothing, let alone the type of card

This has gone to MKDP LLP - funny thing is they sold it on 21/11/11 which was a week after they sent my (rubbish) CCA... maybe they realised themselves what a load of rot it was?!!

Edit: Reading further down the letter, although MKDP LLP have bought the debt, their servicing agents are MKRR

Yes-- if its a formal Notice of Assignment it has been sold on to debt purchaser. May we ask to whom it has been sold as tactics may vary from lowlife to lowlife?

In any case I would sit and wait now to see which way the purchaser goes. We have recently served the purchaser on two of our accounts with s78 request and have acknowledgements stating they unable to comply within the timeframe. As we already hold UE docs it going to be interesting when they eventually get back to us.

    regards
