 Re: DNW's UE Diary

I don't think thats necessary DNW thanks. Niddy will re-examine the issue for you. The main thing is not to panic. Your letter has gone and cannot be retrieved but you have given them the opportunity to come back to you with something. The ball is firmly now in their court (forgive the pun). Plus you appear to still have the goods anyway that they think you don't. Good card to hold and don't tell 'em.

As you have seen I am not renowned as a "pay up get a life" person, quite the reverse but on some occasions bowing to an inevitable, a slice of humble pie can pay some dividends much as it goes against the grain.

Would it be of any benefit if I de-sensitised and posted the agreements up in here too?

 Re: DNW's UE Diary

As I am aware that Wragge & Co don't usually mess about, they are certainly not one of the "letterheads for rent" mob that we are all used to, I thought that we should move something quite quickly as without seeing it myself the agreement had been declared enforceable. If Wragge & Co had/do issue(d) on Monday as suggested in their letter then at least something would be on the table, if nothing else as a stalling tactic. If they do issue and there were no mitigating circumstances like a benefactor offer or a monthly plan (£1 a month) it is possible the cause could fall on the facts as presented here.

I still think they are applying the pressure couched in legal terms but there is always the chance they will do what they say. Depends a lot on how much business they do with Honda.

Too late, I'd gone!!Originally posted by Never-In-Doubt View PostHold fire ten mins, if you're still here - please give a brief breakdown of what has happened and i'll check it out for you....

Sorry you had a bit to wade though to catch up, a bit going on while you were away... serves you right for going away and leaving us like that!!Originally posted by Never-In-Doubt View PostOk, I am upto date now - can you confirm, this was for a car or bike right? Where is it, and was there any charges/ppi added / was there an arrangement fee paid/added to the loan or did you pay a deposit?

I may need to see agreement again if poss....

Yeah it was for a bike, which is currently parked outside in the garage (though Wragge seem to think for some reason that it was repossessed). No charges/PPI/deposit that I can recall, I'll check with OH later but I'm fairly sure it was just a trade in of old bike and 0% interest finance on newer bike.

No offer was made this time, they refused £400 (a generous 11%!) already. Pixie is right (I'm a her btw )- I edited my post to suggest what I would realistically prefer, but my letter to Wragge just said I was disappointed that they'd not negotiated and to bring on the legal proceedings whilst still giving them the option of negotiating a settlement. )- I edited my post to suggest what I would realistically prefer, but my letter to Wragge just said I was disappointed that they'd not negotiated and to bring on the legal proceedings whilst still giving them the option of negotiating a settlement.

The letter I sent today was verbatim of my preview above (in quotes) in post #168 with the small addition in post #169Last edited by DNW; 22 October 2011, 11:20.

They haven't come back with any counter offer so should I just increase our offer and if so to what %?

I'm guessing that realistically, they're not going to accept any kind of offer below a pretty high % so am I just wasting time by upping our offer by 10% each time? I really don't want this to end up in court. I wonder of the likelyhood of them accepting anything less than full balance though

 Re: DNW's UE Diary

Yes its always good in my view to add such a rider to the offer, another is that a benefactor has agreed to step in to help
