    Pass

All I meant was 'if it was me' I would send Keynes a copy of your today's letter to MKDP on a FYI basis. I'll let someone else decide what you should/shouldn't do about Keynes' (possible) LBA letter of 16th May.

No harm in sending a copy of that letter to Keynes is there I've only just noticed it's already got that far. Their letter dated 16th May looks like a LBA to me since it gives you 14 days Notice of Legal Action. Even though you've replied to it you've only heard back from MKDP not from Keynes. They often pretend they don't know each other.

Further to your recent letter, you have provided an unsatisfactory response and I shall therefore refer my concerns to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Yes it was the Keynes letter that worried me a little, I read it as an LBA but sent 'sold in dispute' to them - I think both Keynes and MKDP are still dealing with it at the moment, but of course it could all be crossed letters being received.

I'm sure it was MKDP who pushed a claim to Northampton for an old Midland Bank credit card and whilst I 'won' as such before it got to court, it cost me in (relatively expensive to me but not to the case) legal fees which is why I'm keen to stop any action in its tracks where possible.

Edit: Thanks for the link to the post, wish I'd seen that a couple of weeks ago! I've bookmarked it now for when Keynes write to me again.

I can't guarantee that but I did it for two reasons (a) I'm into year 4 of SB so it's good to stall, and (b) I've seen a lot of claims issued by MKDP on various other sites all of a sudden

In theory they're supposed to send you a LBA but it seems they either skip that stage or send a LBA disguised as a non-threatening letter. I think Matty A may have got caught that way:

MKDP wrote straight back to say that all collections activity would be suspended while the FOS investigate - which we all know takes a year or more And since I've got six months to carry through with my threat that will make it 18 months.

Hopefully MKDP will have forgotten about me by then

    Hi

I got these Herbets after me under MKRR. I have also had letters from MKDP.

They gave me an application form [of which only the address part was filled out, and not in my hand or signed and it dates back as far as the Midland Bank now HSBC, which i do not recall having a CC with Midland but need to check that] which I told them, they wrote back saying they complied with the Act and this is their Final Response. So I wrote back explaining they are wrong, so they wrote back reminding me it was a Final Response [so not a final response lol]

So they go on the ignore list but they did say it will be passed to the legal dept so i suppose i go through the matter with them or until such time as someone sees sense.

I never thought about the FOS complaint route and may consider it.

Thanks Deepie, I don't know why, but these people are making me nervous and I'm expecting them to push harder. But I'll wait and see what happens.

    Barclaycard UPDATE

24/05/13 - Received from MKDP - Final response, we have supplied a true copy CCA as per Carey v HSBC, there is no obligation to provide a signed copy, it's enough to know a copy was signed at time of inception. Feel free to complain to FOS if you don't like this.

If That was there final response ...then if it were me I would just see what they do next.....

    Hi DNW

Think one of the mods need to guide you here.

There appears to be a possible LBA in there which with this mob isnt an idle threat. They are seemingly second only to Lowell with trips to Northampton at the moment.

I wish this bunch of idiots would make up their mind about who's turn it is to write to me

Which letter should I send in response, enough is enough? Enough is Enough Response - allaboutDEBT UK

Does anyone have any idea as to whether 'enough is enough' is a suitable response to MKDP as above post please?
