      The address they have is for my parents and I am back and forth to there as I work abroad for long periods of time. they send me my mail.

      I phoned them and informed them the person they are lookking for no longer lives at this address (it was just automated service - press blah) at around the same time I received a second letter stating the details of the debt.

      They have since phoned me (on my Skype number) but I didnt answer.

      Just not sure what to do and what are the chances of them chancing it and knocking on the door!

        40 days - not working (its late) - Have they cashed cheque etc yet - do you have proof of delivery from track n trace?

          If they knock on the door tell your parents to say you don't live there, do your parents know about the debts? If so, should be easy - just get them to say find him yourself - and close the door.

          If they don't know, may be best explaining the situation and see what they say - otherwise you may get a dodgy visit and they may try and mislead your parents into paying for you - very dodgy but not unheard of.

              No, they dont know about my debt. That is very worrying! Are they known to do this then.

                Send again, new cheque and send recorded - EVERYTHING must go recorded or they deny receipt

                  well all DCA's utilise their so called *right* to visit you at home, however stress not - we have a new service starting shortly that means you can buy an address from us to get all mail sent to

                        Hi Niddy & Crew,

                        After sending off the letter to Lowell re Cap1 missing terms and copying them in on the letter to O2 by e-mail and post I have received a reply from them by e-mail saying:-

                        "Thank you for your recent correspondence.

                        We understand you are currently not residing at the address we hold for you on file. To allow us to update and amend our records accordingly, we would kindly ask you to supply a current or care of address to ensure our correspondence is being sent to the address.

                        Please note that, due to Data Protection laws, we are unable to transfer sensitive customer details by e-mail. We will therefore contact you by post in future unless absolutely necessary.

                        We trust this clarifies the situation and look forward to hearing from you shortly."

                            Hi Niddy,

                            Well I sent off the SAR again (recorded!) to O2 but no response as yet as far as I am aware. I am still away at the moment and my post is being sent to me so should get it possibly next week. Lowell emailed me over a month ago now saying they will put it on hold (re O2) for a month, not heard from them yet.

                            Still getting phone calls from unknown numbers but I ignore them.

                            I will update you fully in a week or so.
