    Re: Locke's UE diary

    Hi NID.

I received a call at work today with a message from a women (not lucky me this time) and a contact number, when I called back it was Calders voicemail so I hung up.

What would be the best course of action here? Should I just get the letter sent off and hope they don't call tomorrow or should I just ring them and point out that the account is in dispute and that I don't wish them to contact me at work again, as well as sending the letter off?

It doesn't bother me speaking to them as I'm confident in dealing with the situation.

    What do you think?

      Hiya

Why don't you just say (next time they ring) "sorry that person no longer works here - please stop calling" - that way they have to remove your number from their systems.....

        Hi NID!

Had a letter from Barclaycard today about the Goldfish card, here's a quote from that letter...

I would like to explain that we are currently unable to provide all the documentation and information required by section 78 of the consumer credit act 1974 (the "Act"). Therefore, we accept that we are prevented from enforcing our agreement with you while this state of affairs continues.

They then go on to talk about how they can still issue a default notice etc.

        Result?

Excellent - finished, end of - forget about it!

Basically, yea they can default you and hassle you but that's it - no action can be taken so you just ignore them now, however any legal threats - you copy that letter and send it with one of these (to whoever may hassle you in the future with a legal threat): ---> viewtopic.php?p=20195#p20195

                            Hi NID.

Thought I would post since it's all swapped over!

I received another letter from Debt Managers yesterday about a Barclaycard account, basically they are saying they are going to continue to keep it on hold until Barclaycard tell them what to do next, they originally put it on hold at the beginning of December so I'm not sure if they even know what they are doing.

That's all really, after the fast paced first few months it's all dropping off, the phone calls have dropped off completely too.

                            Thanks for your help.

                            Locke.

                                Re: Locke's UE diary

Hi NID, I received 2 letters over the weekend that I could do with your help with.

The first one is from Blair, Oliver and Scott and it says they have been instructed to take court action by their client if I don't pay within 7 days, now I've written to them previously with the "Sold whilst in default" letter and didn't hear back from them to acknowledge that they had received it, a quick look at the tracking code says it was delivered from our office but no signature has appeared.

Should I send the sold whilst in default letter again?

The second letter is from Bryan Carter over Crap 1, they say to pay within 14 days or they will recommend proceedings be issued, I haven't heard from this lot before so I take it I send the sold whilst in default letter.

                                Your help is always appreciated.
