"We can confirm your account has been placed on hold until 15th Feb 11 whilst we investigate this matter for you."

Eek...did not realise I should send everything recorded-sent ALL CCA requests recorded but have been sending most other letter normal 1st class post. Know better now

However, Fredrickson have received my letter re Mint and have replied as follows:

"Thank you for your recent communication.

Our client has instructed us that is you require copy statements or a copy of your agreement detailing how your balance has accrued, or any other data protection request then you will need to write to them direct at the following address:

    Data Protection Requests
    etc

Please note that you will need to send a covering letter specifiacally stating what it is you require and encloses a cheque or postal order for £10.00 made payable to RBS.

Our client will process these request directly.

    Your etc"

£10.00? So what it that all about?
Ignore them, the £10 is the SAR fee..... not relevant to you.

As for the letters - EVERYTHING must go recorded except legal replies which go special. You have no proof of anything so if they go for a ccj they will beat you - point is, prove that you sent that letter on X date? You can't can you?

    Send everything recorded.

You have to presume that the letters have crossed. Have you got proof of delivery yet from online?

    Hi Niddy

Re Barclaycard I sent the harrassment letter as advised to Apex on 21st January.

I received another letter from Apex today dated 25th Jan. It reads as follows:

"Home visit agent instructed [in box at top of letter]

We have written to you on numerous occasions and note no contact has been made.
Our previous letter gave you a final opportunity to make payment or your account will be passed to an external doorstep agent who will arrange a visit to your property. Our field agent will now be instructed to arrange a visit at a time that is suitable to them.
Should you wish to arrange payment on your account prior to our agent's visit, it is imperative you call our office without further delay."

Erm...they claim to have written to me on numerous occasions? I have only ever had one letter from them and that was the previous one also threatening home visit!

Now I sent my letter to them on 21st as I said-do I assume this crossed in post?

Re Mint Also today, I received a letter from Fredrickson dated 24th January. It reads:

    LETTER BEFORE ACTION

THIS DEBT MUST BE PAID IN FULL TO THESE OFFICES WITHIN THE NEXT 7 DAYS OTHERWISE WE WILL TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION

Should it be necessary to issue proceedings in the Count Court (or the Sheriff Court as may be appropriate), further additional costs will be added to the balance outstanding.

If a judgement or Decree remains unsatisfied a bailiff or sheriff officer may be instructed to recover assets to discharge then outstanding debt. Judgement debts are registered by the court. A Judgement debt or Decree against you would seriously affect your ability to obtain credit in the future.

    Payment can be accepted etc"

I wrote to them on 21st Jan with the letter you had suggested in your post of same day.

Again do I assume it has crossed in the post?

I know you know what you are doing-it's myself I don't trust, believe me!

I had been reading other people's diaries and noticed they had sent CCA reminders when they had not received one. I was worried in case I should have sent one of those to Barclaycard.

    Thanks once again.
Hiya, that template is there as an "add-on" and not really used that much to be fair..... don't worry, it's all in hand
