    Hiya

I'm lost - what do you mean you have until Friday until the "final day" - I didn't know doomsday was real

If they do not respond to your CCA request - tough! They're in default, fine - so what...?

You ring royal mail and they'll confirm if the PO was ever cashed or not. You should have the stub or details of it on the receipt and always send letters recorded as it proves to a judge that you did send the letter!

    Niddy
    a quick update.
I have a sneeky feeling that I will not get my CCA request.I realise that I still have 'till Friday before its final day.So just in case I don't receive it what should I do/send please.
Unfortunately I only sent this by 1st class post although I have the PO number of course, but to track this could take months!
    Thanks
    Gm

    Thanks MattyA
No charges have been made and the o/s balance shows no interest charged.
    I made a F&F 20% but they wanted 50%.
At the moment I am awaiting a response to my CCA request ,still have a week to go yet.

    Re: Amex-Charge card

Have you tried reclaiming charges (over limit / late payment ect?) and even membership fee - if like me ,you have been on a repayment plan and were stil charged membership / membership rewards fees even though you were not allowed to use the card!!)
They will refund but will baulk at refundinding the associated interest applied to the charges by them.
I have two cases with the FOS re Amex.

They are also open to F&F offers.

    Good luck,

    Matty

Send for the agreement and lets take a peek, before doing anything or worrying about anything!

Charge cards are definitely not CCA protected, however if they allow a cash advance or other credit card based features then it may be part regulated..... get the CCA first, if they reject the s.78 request then SAR them.

The devil is in the detail so we need the agreement before we suggest anything, sadly.
