Are you really? Can you handle this as well as everything else going on...?

If so then let us know and we'll help where we can

Yep, I really am ready for this, 'everything else' has calmed down a lot.

I've sent the first letter to Cabot today for the Egg card, with the PO, so I'll wait and see what comes back.

Can I just say Niddy, that the "circle" you created in post number 8 is really rubbish

Fast response from Cabot, but I really can't see Egg still having the info, or just handing it over to them since it's gone through about half a dozen DCA's. So I'll just have to wait and see.

            Hi Ames,

I would sit on it as well and wait but watch out for "The Blue Peter" cut and paste job if and when they come up with something. Keep us posted.

            Good to see you around

Thanks Garlok, that's my worry. When I first used UE it was so simple, but now there's been the rulings about them being able to cobble something together I get so confused about it all.

Which is why I'm so grateful for this site and the time given by experts.

No worries Ames. Niddy is the real thing on UE and other matters and all the other mods have their specialties so I would just sit tight at the moment as I said and let us know any further developments.

                regards

Ahh it's still basic. A recon is fine; but then we still find fault and use that. Recons are easily spotted and have loads of errors!!

When you get replies please email me what they send and I'll clarify if they're or

                          Re: UE: The second wave.

Here's the latest letter from Cabot, pink bits my thoughts:

We write further to your request for information under section 77 and/or 78 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.

Although Cabot has requested the information, the original lender is experiencing a delay in retrieving the information from it's archives. Although Cabot has not been able to provide you with the information within the prescribed period, we would still advise that your debt remains legally due. (Thank you for the advice. I'm going to ignore it.)

We are still able to report to the Credit Reference Bureaux regarding the status of your debt Really? I thought that once it had been defaulted, they couldn't default again. Not that I'm bothered - the more barriers between me and getting credit ever again the better. and we would recommend you continue your repayment plan with us or alternatively to make payments towards your account if you do not have a repayment plan arranged. Again, I think I'll ignore this recommendation.

Thank you for your co-operation and patience in this matter.

blah blah how to contact us blah blah.
