My friend, do what I did and block anonymous calls. The peace is worth the price and I speak nice to BT and they give me 3 months free

          Update:

Calls coming in thick and fast 32 since last Saturday, from 4 different numbers and an unavailable they either leave an automated message or non at all, a friend of mine has given me a true call unit(he is emigrating).... so hopefully this will keep things quiet.

Nice one - if they keep ringing, send these in order as displayed:

              Re: Capital One

              Thanks Niddy

It seems to have stopped most of them getting through, they did try the text message service number by BT, but I have discontinued the service now. In total with the unavailable numbers, they rang from 6 different numbers, these have all been blocked.

I received a 7 day letter before action from them this afternoon and demanding I ring to make the payment or the debt will increase by £837 with interest, costs and solicitors fee.

Do I send off the threat of legal action letter I sent to crapquest? Also do I send it to the PO box address on the letter or do you know of a different address?

              Regards

                  Hi Niddy

Sorry I didn't make myself clear, it was fredricksons address I was after as it is a PO Box on the letter they have sent me, The crapquest reference was to the letter I sent them when they had the account.

Good luck, Niddy has just given me a shock as I used to work in Chandos Street and had no idea that there was a debt collector there was such a nice road shame it has gone downhill

They have to stop the calls period! Their mention of "for the time being" is their obligatory attempt at bravado to make you think they are doing you a favour. It's the law, they have to stop and they know it.

Thanks mauijim for the post. The calls have stopped completely now.

                                Update

Fredrickson eventually responded to the letter last week saying the account is on hold whilst they contact their client for further instructions.

On the 8th I received a letter from them asking me to please call them to discuss the account, no chance of this happening!
