    Payments of 56 days assume you spend / max out the day after statement. However with more cards being contactless banks have a much greater control than ever before. Nearly all banks use online cards now - as CGC (cheque guarantee) is dead, there's no need for offline cards now.

    Merchant floor limits align with their PDQ which are usually £0 - £30 as they CAN get instant authorisation now. The exception is offline sales funnels such as Tesco 24/7 petrol (they take a £1 charge) or on trains/planes (also take a £1 shadow)....
