I sent them a letter from here informing them of harrasement and the fact I would only deal with them via letter. I got a repsonse from their customer services department saying that they would not hassle me and only ocrrespondance would be by letter. I can scan and send what i've got to somebody if you want.

My question is now that on my credit file the outstanding balance is still showing as owing to capital one. Do I need to do an ammenedment or something to let people know that it's with Cougar? Will it just frop off after six years sinve the account went into default or will it continue to run on to infinity??

I have two people saying sit and wait - or should i get the SAR thingy???

        Help
I would sit tight for now. Wait for them to contact you

          Hi

          Sorry for the delay….

This looks good although the original terms are missing point 23 as pointed out within the signature strip so it can be remedied.

You can blag it and see what they send back or you can arrange repayment, but sadly you won’t get too far on UE alone – unless you have the default notice etc that we can check….

            Hi All

            Latest update on C1...

Communication in the form of a letter received from c1 saying outstanding balance £8398.60

C1 have informed me that Fredrickson International are now acting on their behalf to collect the balance.

            Thoughts please.....

I would wait until Fred's contact you by letter then pop off the sold in dispute

Re: Capital 1 and Cougar Finance

Thanks Mrs D - who should I say was the original creditor - C1, they passed the debt to Cougar who then passed it back to c1. C1 provided a CCA which I sent to Niddy (see above)

                Help lol

Nobody yet, as you await their letter but the OC is Crappy1 - its always the original creditor, i.e whoever gave you the credit

"we have been instructed by capital one who have passed this account to us for the collection of the outstanding balance.

As such we have been appointed as their agent and you should contact us and not C!. We are authorised to contact you to secure repayment of the debt.

You have failed to pay the balance of £8398.60 which remains outstanding despite previous requests for payment. Bla blah blah - pay us or else

You could wait to see what they do next or send the sold in dispute letter.

                              Hi All

A quick update. Fredricksons wrote about 3 weeks ago saying ask C1 for the original CCA agreement (which Niddy has seen and thinks the debt is enforceable). In my letter to them I informed them of the sold in dispute and the issue of harrasement by telephone.

To press all quiet but what would be the next step when they contact me.
