Last payment made on this was 8th October 2009 with no acknowledgement or payment since then. As we are now 9th November assume this is just about SB'd although I intend keeping my powder dry and not shouting from the rooftops just yet!

I have no proof but suspect that the odious Bryan Carter may have used my CCA statutory fee of £1 as a payment to Lowell, will deal with this if it arises.

Freds/Carter have probably got rid of it then....

Just a thought, Carter failed to respond or even acknowledge my CCA request sent over six weeks ago. As PI mentioned, it has probably been returned to Lowell. Should I request a refund/return of my £1 postal order? I would really like to irritate this guy in any way possible.

No need..... what does the letter say Rockwell? Any reference to the complaint you made?

Sorry PI, I was referring to Carter's initial threat, no response whatsoever from Carter to your complaint letter or CCA request. The only communication I received was from Fredricksons in response to my CPUTR letter suggesting I contact Lowell for documents!

Thanks chippy, same as your situation, Freds response to CPUTR was request docs from Lowell. Strangely similar note from Freds again....seems to be in response to my letter(s) to Carter. Nothing directly from Carter yet.

PI, many thanks for keeping an eye on this!

Don't worry about Freds, had the same thing, repeatedly told them its their job to chase not me, they kept saying no, request directly, and placing the account on hold, till after the 3rd letter it went silent, until someone else decided to write, seems they gave up and moved on.

Bryan Carter appears dumbstruck as no response to either PI's letter sent 10th Feb or CCA request a few days later. As he has sent me a begging letter I think I'll write again enclosing copy original CCA request. What's happened to my £1 fee? probably used as a token payment on the account! I'm in a "letters all around" mood!

No need..... what does the letter say Rockwell? Any reference to the complaint you made?

A brief note from Carter in response to my CCA request saying if I need info contact their client Lowell! Meanwhile what are my payment proposals.
Also, no acknowledgement of my £1 statutory fee and definitely not returned so wondering if this will be used by Carter for "other purposes" Any suggestions on how to proceed from here most welcome!

No need to do anything for now. Freds. know the drill…. and if they're still bowing down to Lowell, it shows they have no real clout anyway.

I had all this nonsense some time back and it turned into a farce.
I ended up sending the cputr letter as well. They seemed to get confuzzled and thought I was asking for a copy of the agreement again. (I wasn't, as I already had a copy similar to yours). Anyway, it seemed they requested an agreement copy, but Barclays could not be bothered to play ball and dig it out all over again.

I then got a letter saying the agreement could not be found, and they wrote the whole lot off and closed the file......

This slimy little creep Carter may be good at issuing threats but he's not quite so diligent in responding! Priority One's letter headed complaint sent 10 Feb and still no response. CCA request sent a little later and assume I will receive some form of answer on this.
