So maybe the OP should send both at the same time? A CCA request and the LBA response letter with some serious tweaking. I've read you suggesting that combo somewhere before on this site

Sometimes we suggest sending a CCA request to buy you time to deal with it.

See what others have to say.
That's a good question, they may not know. It originally was a citi card, it was then bought by Opus who changed the credit card number but never actually issued me a card. The last payment was was on receipt of the last Citi statement I received. I never actually paid Opus. It was then sold to Cabot and Fire was a DCA they were using.
I hadn't heard from them for ages until a letter I received from Cabot and the Drydensfairfax letter.

I will get a cca request out by special delivery tomorrow. I would also like to send a response to the LBA as well if I can.

Thank you Mystery1, I will get a cca request sent. Do you have any idea on how to tweak the LBA ?

FIRE is CABOT is APEX is MARLIN.

Just silly games they play but interestingly in the new Conc rules the FCA seems to be frowning on this pretend we are someone else to confuse the consumer. Not really Treating Consumers Fairly (TCF) now is it.

I do but the amount of info given so far is minimal and thus any reply is restricted by that.

As M1 says get the CCA request in the post asap.

We'll worry about the tweaking issue after you've heard from Niddy

Don't worry about this any more tonight. The Post Office is shut now so you can't send letters until tomorrow anyway. Relax. No point in lying awake worrying about things.
