    Yes if there is a charge, but you can get agreement to settle if they remove the charge. Failing that they will be paid automatically by your solicitor after the mortgage has been settled, from the sale.

    They'd not stop the sale, they'd just want paying from the proceeds of any sale (after the mortgage).....
