Debt sold on

I had a debt with Saga credit card a few years ago, this was sold on. If I opened a savings Account with Saga and put money in there can they claim it? Many thanks

I am not sure- are you totally certain it has been sold on and not just sent out to a DCA. If it has been sold to someone like Cabot or Lowell I think it unlikely they could claim the money back- but why would you want to go with them again?
