  • FOS Complaint

I am just wondering, I have a complaint in with the FOS about Virgin Money. It seems Virgin money are dragging their heels, not just on my complaint but also on all FOS complaints. I keep updating the investigator; is there any more I can do?

up to FOS end they can only drag their feet so long., but as I found out no good pushing as their system leaves a lot to be desired.

Thanks CAYB (Virgin Money) have been an absolute nightmare and have slowly closed all my accounts with them since I raised a complaint about a CC. As it turns out, if their call centre staff had been trained, there would have been no complaint and I suspect if no complaint I would still have my current account and two credit cards. I would pay off the outstanding balance (at 0%) but no-one can tell me just what the balance is. The complaint was logged in April 2022, escalated to the executive team in July , been with the FOS since June and I have heard zilch from CAYB apart from letters of closure.

Well just before xmas the adjudicator ruled on the minor complaint and awarded me £75 - today VM agreed to cough up. There is a much bigger and more complicated complaint waiting with the FOS about them withdrawing my banking facilities for 'something that is really serious but you will be told about' and then closing my credit cards - there is one with a balance but they are not sending me statements so I'm leaving I up to DD. There s only 50-75 left and its interest free until March so should be ok at £25 a month minimum payment.
