Only natural. The goal or grail we all seek is there before you in touching distance.

So for one to wake so close to SB will cause concern. But if you look with the eyes that has become accustomed to bank speak. Does it say anything different to what you normally bat away?

If not then as you say its your wanting this to be SB thats clouding what your seeing. Its going to be long old 5 weeks. But the forums here for any doubts.

    Good luck.

    Thank you!

I've spent years happily ignoring and waiting, and not worrying about the what if's but this account coming back to life has got me back to thinking the What Ifs again.

IMO I think I would like others better than me on this to comment. But where we gleefully waste weeks not replying and dawdling with replies here you are looking at wasting days as being your goal. They can demand away as long as they want if they aint threatening. If this letter isnt threatening then perhaps just file and see what happens next. Safe in the knowledge time is ebbing away for them.

But of course others may think otherwise.

    Thanks for replying

Largely a formal demand and the recon plus covering letter saying that no dispute. I

Its just "barclaycard collections" at the minute - not Mercers (in house ones) as I assume they cant as officially they've only warned me a default notice is coming (dated 28th September 2008).

5 weeks yes - based on the default date that they confirm.

I've drafted that - but like I say its not that i'm bothered by.

Should I need to held them off til statute barred date (thinking its 29th march) would a Subject Access Request help? I read on another thread that you can verify the statute barred date from that?

Given its post 2007 will a recon agreement suffice?

    Thanks!

Oh and they calling and texting asking for payment - not that that bothers me because I ignore the call but it is annoying.

Send them this-----> Harassment by Telephone

Reading up on other posts - should i send an Subject Access Request to Barclaycard? Would this buy me sometime and also confirm when the last payment was actually made?

    Thanks in advance!

    Ok!

    got a letter from barclaycard

"I enclose a reconstituted copy of your credit agreement together with a copy of the terms of your credit agreement as varied in accordance with section 82(1) of the act.

We know that your account is not in dispute because any delay in providing your copy document as section section 78(6)(b) was repealed on 31st May 2008"

letter also confirms that that the debt has not been reassigned.

ive never had one of these no no clue what to do next BUT statute barred by end of March 2014 given default will be 28th sept 2008 and no payment made since account was marked late 6 months prior to the default date they now record.

checked and account was opened Nov 2007.

    Worried now......

Phew!! Thanks... I've noticed on other accounts that I have had my £1 refunded onto the "debt" but glad it can be sorted if they do!

    Sending CCA request today.
