I have had no communications since I made this offer, so I'm now going to repeat my offer.

There's no charging order involved with this CCJ is there?

You can probably guess why I'm asking that question

Can you find the name or email address of their litigation solicitor or someone with clout as you may get a better response rather than via the office monkeys. Not sure how it works with a ccj but I did negotiate a F&F on a TO with Arrow. Wasn't a huge saving but with £566 remaining over 4 months @ £141 pm we offered them £350 to knock it on the head. Their litigation sol came back with a counter offer of £450. As it had to be paid anyway and having the cash to hand we decided to settle and save £100.

I have had a recent letter saying the the solicitors have no involvement with it and it's back with Cabot.

I guess there's not much you can do if they don't want to talk. With us we simply said that a 3rd party was prepared to stump up the cash on a F&F basis to kick this into touch and to let us know by the end of the month if you're interested otherwise we'll continue payments as per the Order.

Tough one mate, generally the golden rule is not to speak to these people on the phone but if you're confident and don't get sidetracked by their bullcrap I suppose you could sound them out. Although if your judgment contains the clause allowing for periodic reviews I'd be wary that they may try use the opportunity to get you to increase payments instead of discussing the F&F. If you did decide to ring make sure that if anything is agreed to your satisfactory it gets confirmed in writting.

No periodic reviews I may wait a couple of days and see if they follow up with a letter. I am loath to phone them, but I would like this sorted on paper within the next few weeks
