    nope. It's classed as the "third" CRA but they're a little strange. They retain 2 years searches yet only 1 year is factored (the 2nd isn't shown to lenders or scored so why show it?) and they like to undercut the bigger 2 CRA's but banks have recently started using them more now due to cost but they still only get used as a second referral. Ex & Eq are still the primary CRA's.
    I'm the forum administrator and I look after the theme & features, our volunteers & users and also look after any complaints or Data Protection queries that pass through the forum or main website. I am extremely busy so if you do contact me or need a reply to a forum post then use the email or PM features offered because I do miss things and get tied up for days at a time!

      Call Credit is also used by some estate agents to check Landlords' details for Money Laundering purposes.

      It leaves a footprint too which really pisses me off.

        Well I double checked my file through Noddle tonight after receiving an email from Experian saying they have removed all traces of Marlin and the dispute and sure enough there was no sign of the entry. I then logged into Equifax, despite hearing nothing from them and to my pleasant surprise they too have removed it and also removed my ex-wife as an association (after I sent a request to do so).

        Happy Days and it's all thanks to you fantastic people. Without this forum and the help on it I would never have managed to sort this all out as easily as I did. HUGE THANKS to you all

          When Gold isn't enough, there is SA Gold! New to the forum and find the UE route a bit scary? Take a look at my diary here and judge for yourself. I am now saving the money each month that was making little difference to the balance and not a bit of difference to my credit file as a result of finding AAD.
