  • CRA not being updated regarding CCJ

    Good evening,

I was hoping someone could help me with this and apologies if this has been covered before.

I had a CCJ granted against me back in Feb 2021

Link Financial Outsourcing. (LC Asset 1 S.A.R.L)

    ??????February 2021

    Amount £1695

    Payment amount £50 monthly.

August/September 2023 I noticed payments were not being reported to the CRA's and the balance on Link Financial account didn't change.

I contacted Link who failed to explain why and simply said it was being managed by another department.

    So I stopped paying them.

I then received a Notice of issue of Warrant of control. I paid the total to pay £310.25 on the 25/09/23.

This amount has never been taken off the balance and hasn't been reported to the CRA's that I've made the payment although the court has confirmed the payment was made.

Where do I go from here? I am now left with an unsettled ccj on my file, the balance will obviously have some impact on my file putting me in a worse financial position.

Don't the DCA's have a responsibility to report correct information?

Seems wrong that if I fail 3 payments on a credit account I can be defaulted yet they can get away with not reporting payments for the same amount of time.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi

First of all, the CCJ will stay on your credit file for 6 years from outset even if subsequently paid in full. I assume you're saying that you have now paid in full?

If so, it seems you should raise a formal complaint with Link Financial Outsourcing. (LC Asset 1 S.A.R.L) to get the Credit record fully updated.

Thanks for getting back to me.

IMO I have paid in full what the judgement has asked for.
My concern is that Link Financial Outsourcing have failed to keep the account up to date with the CRAs.

I did wonder if this could be used in mitigation to have the CCJ potentially removed?

      Regards

        Mitigation? I doubt it.

If you get a county court judgment (CCJ) or a high court judgment, it will also stay on the Public Register of Judgments, Orders and Fines for 6 years.

        However, read this -
