controlaccount plc - demanding monies on a paid fee

my wife bought an item from france, and paid the duty to fedex to release the item, since then 'control account plc' have been pestering and inflating the debt.
Any ideas on dealing with them? they are a bit AI based and non-responsive.

Do you have proof of payment to Fedex, of the duty? I assume that the item was subsequently delivered after payment?
