    Good Missy - keep your options open - you never know if they get no more interest they may well come back to you

    if the Agent is approachable - why not say to them - can you keep us informed of any other offers - whilst they will not be able to tell you what the acutal offer - it will give you a chance to counter offer if you still so wish.

    Good luck hun - buying homes is so stressfull - so if i can help in anyway seeing as Mr Loo deals with this on a day to day basis i'm around.

        Missy ask yourself if this really is the house you want, or do you only want it because you can't have it or someone else may get it? I'm a bit like that but usually only with men

        The Open House days are often used to encourage competition. The questions are: what is the house actually worth, what are you prepared to pay for it (considering your budget), and would you still want to buy it if nobody else did.

        Another way to use the same psychology in reverse is to ask the agent what else they've got for you to view, or tell them you've seen another house you're interested in as well. You can play hard to get too

        Purchasing a property is a big financial commitment and the decision should be made with your head and not your heart. Having said that I really hope you get it

            Hahaha be a bit careful of doing this - and depending on what area Missy lives in - i know if someone said this to Mr Loo in present market conditions He would probably say - ok o well good luck...... as he knows he has other people willing to step in.....

            I do agree though if it is meant to be it is meant to be.............

                Yes, we really do want this house. We missed out on a similar house in the next street last month. Called the agent not long after it was on rightmove, made next available appointment (3 days later) although it sold before we got to see it.

                Going by what ive seen sell in the area and a friend who lives nearby who keeps an eye on property - i would say what they are asking is about right - although i would never admid that to the agent lol.

                Yes it is a big commitment, although i am thinking with my head instead of my trousers - although some of these girls they have showing you round the properties are very naughty and its easy to get side tracked :-)

                I've let the agent know whilst we are interested in the house we are also looking at other properties to ensure we choose the one most suitable for us.

                Jen - Thanks, i feel under the cosh already and the fun and games has only just started!

                LooLoo - I've been totally honest with the agent, and i'd like to think they are too. We really like the property but need to keep looking because something similar/better may come up whilst this is taking place. A mate who came with me said dont forget in all this, you are holding all the cards. Don't get sucked in to the e-bay type wars where people pay £1 for a Tesco carrier bag!

                I totally agree - whats meant to be, wont pass by.

                              I think you will find that with the banks they will want it to go through as quickly as possible and you should find it all very efficient

                              Just make sure you use a good conveyancer!!

                                Yeah, the agent said the banks want it done asap.
                                We are using the solicitors they recommended to rush it all through on a no sale, no fee basis.
