      Re: Couriers?

Hermes are a joke. They never deliver on time and don't care when you complain. After complaining to next once some bloke turned up on a Sunday to hand it over even tho we paid for Saturday delivery. I pre ordered a game for day of release from Asda once. They turned up 2 days late. What's the point in pre order if they can't deliver on the day. I honestly believe it's the bone idleness of the drivers. They seem to have the goods to deliver but just can't be botherd

        Re: Couriers?

Maybe the problems encountered with Hermes are because they use self-employed couriers who probably aren't earning very much and so end up rushing things and being careless?

I think it was Hermes who left my parcel in the recycling bin!
When Gold isn't enough, there is SA Gold! New to the forum and find the UE route a bit scary? Take a look at my diary here and judge for yourself. I am now saving the money each month that was making little difference to the balance and not a bit of difference to my credit file as a result of finding AAD.

Next, or whichever courier they use, always leave my daughter's parcels in her recycling bin. Thank goodness she's used to it by now and knows where to look!

If these people were penalised for not delivering on time they wouldn't do it. I personally don't care whether they are paid enough or not that's a seperate issue. Either do the job correctly or don't. I guess they chose the latter lol

                Re: Couriers?

I'm not sure if they're penalised for not delivering on time but they are for damage

                Courier Liability
If, as a result of negligence or carelessness, a Courier causes damage to a customer’s or third party’s property, or cause injury to a customer or third party, the Courier is liable to the customer or third party for that damage or injury.

I agree that if they're doing the job they should do it right.
