• NatWest cutting Isa and easy-access rates to just 0.01%
  • Means £1 of interest on £10,000 savings pot
  • Other banks are also making deep cuts to savings deals



The High Street savings bloodbath stepped up a notch today with NatWest the latest bank to slash rates to punitive levels of interest for hard-pressed and loyal savers. Its cash Isa rate has been culled from 0.25 per cent to 0.01 per cent for those who have £1 to £24,999 in the account from 31 October 2016. Furthermore, its Instant Saver account is dropping from 0.25 per cent to 0.01 per cent and its Premium Saver from 0.1 per cent to 0.01 per cent.....
