The banking group has started to offer savings products under the brand

Lloyds Banking Group has quietly brought back the Bank of Wales name, in the hope that the 42-year-old brand will help bring in new customers to its savings products at a time of increasing competition in the industry. The bank has recently applied to trademark a new logo for the Bank of Wales and Banc Cymru names, following the creation of a new website for the brand earlier this year that currently displays a simple holding page. Lloyds already offers a handful of savings products using the Bank of Wales name but they are only available through life insurance intermediaries.
