The energy regulator warns the big six firm to improve its customer service or face a sales ban.
Big six energy provider ScottishPower has been threatened with a sales ban unless it improves customer service, the energy regulator has announced. Ofgem made the threat after an investigation showed the company did not answer customer queries promptly, had an excessive billing backlog and failed to resolve complaints made to the industry ombudsman. The watchdog said it has launched an investigation into the way the company treats its customers. Ofgem's Sarah Harrison said: "ScottishPower’s customers are experiencing unacceptably long call waiting times and a drastic drop in overall customer satisfaction.
