One NatWest customer took a stand when she found a number of false claims in a promotion for buildings and contents insurance

NatWest can be exposed for sending misleading promotional material to customers. The evidence has emerged just days after the City regulator warned that financial firms were falling short of advertising standards. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) requires all promotions to be clear, fair and not misleading. It told firms to improve standards after reviewing 1,500 financial promotions and finding some were misleading. It is now investigating 227 promotions for products such as payday loans, debt management services and credit brokers. It appears that other, better-known firms also use sharp practices.
