The Bank of Ireland UK has come last in a bank customer satisfaction survey compiled by Which?.
The bank scored just 41pc and was given two out of five stars for customer service, regular communication, clarity of statement and branch availability. First Direct, meanwhile, came top in the bi-annual study of current accounts conducted by Which?, a consumer group. The decision by the Bank of Ireland UK to controversially raise its tracker fees on mortgages for thousands of customers in February may have had a knock-on effect on customer satisfaction levels on current accounts. Customers who borrowed from the bank saw their monthly interest payments doubled under raised tracker rates. Ulster Bank, which suffered a computer glitch in March, came second from bottom – scoring 45pc on the league table.....Read more here
