Thousands of people who bought mobile phone insurance through Phones 4U did not have their complaints of mis-selling dealt with properly, leading to a £2.8million fine for the firm responsible. The fine was handed down by the Financial Conduct Authority today to Policy Administrations Services, a company that handled the sale and administration of mobile phone insurance on behalf of Phones 4U. Regulators found evidence that PAS had not been treating Phones 4U customers fairly when they complained that the cover had been mis-sold.
