Advice for savers axed at Yorkshire and Clydesdale branches
Yorkshire and Clydesdale banks are to stop giving advice to savers on the High Street. The two foreign-owned banks — part of National Australia Bank — are cutting all 130 adviser jobs by June 14. It will leave 12,000 people without help on their investments at their local branch. Yorkshire and Clydesdale are the latest major High Street names to scrap proper advice in the wake of a crackdown by the City watchdog.
