Co-operative Energy is putting up its prices today for new customers, adding 8.7 per cent or £101 to its gas and electricity prices, bringing its dual fuel bill up to £1,258 annually. The small energy supplier said that the hike will not affect its 100,000 existing customers. The gas and electricity supplier blamed the rise on the cost of transporting energy and said that if it didn’t put its prices up it would be 'selling energy at a loss, which is not sustainable.'.....Read more here
