Credit Guarantee Scheme shuts down
The government has closed its Credit Guarantee Scheme (CGS) as it moves towards a “stable financial system”. CGS was launched in October 2008 to protect consumers from bank failure by providing financial institutions guarantees for senior unsecured debt for a fee.
