Sky is pushing up the price of its telephone line rental by 18 per cent for 3.5million customers - a hike so big angry subscribers can leave with no penalty. The huge hike comes just months after Sky splashed out £2.28billion on Premier League football broadcasting rights. From December the price of Sky line rental is increasing from £12.25 to £14.50 – an increase of 18 per cent, more than seven times the rate of inflation which stands at 2.5 per cent.
